Spiro Çomora (1918-1973) was an Albanian playwright of the 20th century, famous mostly as a comedist. He is most known for the comedy Karnavalet e Korçës ((英語:Korçë's carnevals)), which premiered in 1961 and earned him national fame. Çomora has also written children poetry and has distinguished himself as a translator. ==Life== Spiro Çomora was born on January 31, 1918, in Corfu, Greece, from a family hailing from Vuno in the Albanian riviera. His most famous comedy was Karnavalet e Korçës ((英語:Korçë's carnevals)) (1961). Çomora created also poetry for children, as well as translated into Albanian works of Ancient Greece dramaturgs, such as Odissey of Homer and Lysistrata of Aristophanes. He is also known for his satire articles in the Hosteni magazine. Çomora died in 1973, 55 years old.
